How long have you been in business?
Groovelabs has been in the sound and rental business in the High Desert since 2003 as a full service sound and lighting rental production firm, We have been operating similar sound rental ventures since 1990 in Los Angeles and San Jose Ca.
What Kind of Company Are you?
You can consider Groovelabs as a full service audio visual company for your production needs. Our roots stem from professional DJ services since the early 90’s. We have now evolved to a full Audio Visual production service company . We operate from a 3000sq commercial building and we are fully insured. Our Team is comprised of DJ’s Event Planners, Graphic Designers and Sound Visual Specialists. Events range from Weddings, Company Parties, Expos, Conference, Documentaries for City, state, goverment and any Public event service.
I have booked sound companies before, how is your service cost compared to other sound or rental av companies?
We do not claim to be the cheapest sound rental service in town but we are typically 15% Cheaper than the California Statewide average. We are sometimes 20-30% less expensive in Metro Civic sectors such as Palm Springs, Orange County or Hollywood sectors that rent sound systems. In a nut shell we price ourselves within the fair sound rental market from our head quarters in Apple Valley California, were operating costs for sound systems and rentals are much less which virtually translates to savings to you.
My Venue/Hotel Has its own sound system can I use it for my event or should I rent?
This is a common misunderstanding with hotels and the client. Most small hotels do not provide A/V personnel to monitor levels or set up your PA properly. Hotel PA typically is as basic as it gets. So unless your event is informal and or you just require basic audio for announcements, then hotel PA is suitable. If you are having a conference, or meeting with profile speakers, hotel PA rental May not be recommended. Where it can get sticky is when hotels will not admit they have the proper sound capability for you. But any hotel wanting your patronage for future events will be honest and notify you that you should consider enhanced PA rental services. If the hotel insists that the house PA is all you need, be sure to ask this important question: Is there a qualified A/V tech on site and available for the duration of your event? Why is this important? Many events go sour when equipment is left at the hands of armatures. We have seen hotels assign AV duties to unqualified staffers who just happen to be on duty.
We offer complete sound rentals solutions for any size attendance. We feature wired, wireless, Lavs and headsets. We also rent a large array of video projection, Live feeds and documentation of your events. If you have a specific rental need, please don’t hesitate to ask. I’m not made of money you know, but I need some one to understand my production needs and budget.
In today’s economic times most clients make their rental decisions based on price alone which is great for bottom feeders who are ready to pounce on you to get your rental business leaving quality and integrity to chance ultimately hurting your potential gains or profits. We recommend to have an honest conversation about your rental service needs with a company that is willing to not only meet your budget needs, but exceed your expectations. Not all companies work the same way and are not always structured to understand the human component of actually caring for your event because of the cost. Our mentality is simple, we are large enough to service your event expectations but we are small enough to actually care about your needs and budget. We do not claim to give you the best deal in town, but if we cant genuinely meet or agree on your budget expectations, we will help to find another vendor who can.
How far ahead should I book my reservation with you if I want to rent sound systems, production or DJ’s?
We generally fill up about 3 to 8 months in advance for premium DJ sound or large a-v production services. It is a funny industry. We can have no bookings one month and be sold out the next, so don't wait too long. As soon as you determine you need rental services production or sound, please make contact. 760-240-9449
How much is the deposit and is it refundable?
The deposit amount is typically 50% or based on the contract terms. Deposits go towards equipment reservation, staff allocation and immediate administration of your event. Because we administer and block items from inventory upon receiving your deposits, unfortunately they are not refundable. Some sort of rent credit can be arranged depending on the circumstance of your event and ultimately at our discretion.
How does your staff dress at my events
DJ’s are required to wear a suit for weddings or corporate events. Working staff or technicians wear our company issued Dress Polo and black slacks for all other events.
How far will you travel?
We travel almost anywhere.
