My Venue/Hotel Has its own sound system can I use it for my event?

This is a common misunderstanding with hotels and the client. Most small hotels do not provide A/V personel to monitor levels or set up your PA properly. Hotel PA typically is as basic as it gets. So unless your event is informal and or you just require basic audio for announcements, then hotel PA is suitable. If you are having a conference, or meeting with profile speakers, hotel PA is not recommended. Where it can get sticky is when hotels will not admit they have the proper sound capability for you. But any hotel wanting your patronage for future events will be honest and notify you that you should consider enhanced PA services. If the hotel insists that the house PA is all you need, be sure to ask if they have a qualified A/V techs on site and available for the duration of your event.

Groovelabs has been in business in the High Desert since 2003, We have been operating similar ventures since 1990 in Los Angeles and San Jose Ca.

What Kind of Company Are you?
You can consider Groovelabs as a full service Production Company. Our roots stem from DJ’ Services in the early 90’s. We have now evolved to a full Audio Visual production company . We operate from a 3000sq commercial building and we are fully insured. Our Team is comprised of DJ’s Graphic Designers and Audio Visual Specialists. Events range from Weddings, Company Parties, Expos, Conference, Documentaries, to City and Public events.

Why is your price so low compared to other production companies?
We do not claim to be the cheapest service but we are 15% Cheaper than the California Statewide average. We are even 40% less expensive in Civic sectors such as Palm Springs, Orange County or Hollywood. In a nut shell we price ourselves within the fair market in our area. This translates to savings for you!

I Love your services, But I don’t have allot of money.

In today’s economic times most clients make their decisions based on price alone. One thing to remember is customer service most often requires components such as quality and client expectation. You must evaluate your level of expectations to your budget to accurately determine your level of investment. The most often saying still holds true in our industry “you get what you pay for”.

Do you provide Karaoke?
No, unfortunately we do not have Karaoke service. When we started the business we made a conscious decision not to enter this market.

Do your DJ's handle announcements for my wedding or company party?
Our disc jockeys will get as involved as you want them to be. Unless you specify otherwise, they will co-ordinate to just about anything you need to have done.

How far ahead should I book my reservation with you?
We generally fill up about 9 months to a year in advance. It is a funny industry. We can have no bookings one month and be sold out the next, so don't wait too long. As soon as you determine you need services please make contact.

How much is the deposit and is it refundable?
The deposit amount is typically 50% or based on the contract terms. Deposits go towards your total cost. Unfortunately deposits are not refundable; however some sort of credit can be arranged depending on the circumstance and at our discretion.

How does your staff dress at my events
DJ’s are required to wear a suit for weddings or corporate events. Working staff or technicians wear our company issued Dress Polo black slacks.

How far will you travel?
We travel anywhere.
